– Democratic Sen. Wendy Davis of Fort Worth, on a bill approved by the Texas Senate that would give victims the right to track physical evidence collected in a rape kit.

These measures will help address the increased demand our population growth will have on our water needs now and into the future.

– Gov. Rick Perry on the passage of HB 4, a bill that provides for changes at the Texas Water Development Board; creates a new funding mechanism to support water-supply project implementation over the next 50 years; and directs local, regional and state officials to prioritize projects for more efficient use.
