Fort Worth-based Trademark Property Co. is under contract to purchase a 63 acre site from Lockheed Martin Recreation Association with plans to create a multi-use development with retail, multi-family, office and hotel features.
Called Waterside, the development will be “an amenity rich master planned development,” according to a Trademark news release. Current plans include 200,000 square feet of retail and restaurants, 100,000 to 200,000 square feet of office space, 20 to 30 acres of multi-family and a hotel site.No price for the planned purchase was given.
"This is one of the best pieces of real-estate in Fort Worth, with unmatched access to the entire city and natural amenities that one would normally only dream of. We are excited to be the new steward of this landmark site in our home town," said Trademark Chairman and CEO Terry Montesi.
The project will feature an extension of the Trinity Trail with a new trailhead, riverside restaurants, a large multi-purpose central plaza with trees, a dog park, a riverfront amphitheater and over 1.5 miles of Trinity River frontage.
The land at Bryant Irvin Road at Arborlawn Drive in southwest Fort Worth, is near the new Chisholm Trail Parkway. Waterside will be almost directly across Bryant Irvin Road from the Clearfork development. Cassco Development Co. has partnered with Rosewood Property Co. to move forward with the development of Clearfork, an urban village located on 270 acres of the legendary Edwards Ranch.
