Clane LaCrosse has leaped ahead of the entrepreneurial pack with the Dallas CEO named a finalist in Ernst & Young’s EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2014, which recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success.
LaCrosse, president and CEO of Fort Worth-based Bosque Systems LLC, earned the designation for the contest’s Southwest Region. The competition recognizes individuals excelling in innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
LaCrosse and other finalists were chosen from almost 100 nominations by a panel of independent judges. Award winners will be announced at a gala event on Saturday June 21, 2014 at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel in Dallas.
LaCrosse credits his foresight in earning the accolade.
“It’s just keeping your eyes open and picking up on an opportunity,” said LaCrosse, recognized for his role in water management as it relates to hydraulic fracturing, the process used to unlock subterranean oil and gas deposits.
LaCrosse founded Bosque Systems in 2007 with his uncle, Ernst & Young Hall of Famer Joe Mitchell. He noticed changes in the Barnett Shale where strong gas production had created a need for additional saltwater disposal capacity.
The company built its first saltwater disposal well in the town of Cresson in 2008. Since then, LaCrosse has led Bosque Systems to success with oil and gas well operators in the Barnett, Eagle Ford and Woodford shales; Permian Basin; and the Bakken formation.
Environmental responsibility plays a prominent role in his enterprise.
His firm advocates recycling flowback and produced water so that it may be used repetitively.
In 2013, Bosque Systems safely managed almost 200 millions of barrels of water for its customers and is the nation’s leading chlorine dioxide service provider.
Bosque Systems provides water-management services to oil and natural gas operators. LaCrosse and his wife Rosana live in Dallas and have four children.
