Texas retail gasoline prices down 2 cents

 

IRVING, Texas (AP) – Retail gasoline prices across Texas have slipped 2 cents this week as travelers prepare for the long July Fourth holiday weekend.

AAA Texas on Tuesday announced the average price at the pump statewide was $3.50 per gallon.

Nationwide gasoline prices are down a penny at $3.67 per gallon.

Drivers in El Paso face paying the most for gasoline statewide at $3.57 per gallon. The association survey found Amarillo and Corpus Christi have the cheapest gasoline in Texas at $3.41 per gallon.

AAA predicts 3 million Texans will travel 50 miles or more from home during the Fourth of July holiday weekend, with most taking trips by automobile.
