Irving chamber names interim president and CEO

Shawn Callaway, chief operating officer at the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce since 2010, has been named interim president and chief executive officer.
Callaway officially took over May 1, Chris Wallace’s last day as president and CEO. Wallace will begin his new role as president of the Texas Association of Business, the chamber of commerce of Texas, in Austin on May 15.
The chamber board approved Callaway’s appointment as interim leader until a permanent president and chief executive is hired for the position by Aug. 11.
Callaway served as vice president of marketing and communications at the Irving chamber and previously was a regional account director of the Dallas-Fort Worth region for Bolt Public Relations.
The chamber also named Beth Bowman as interim vice president of economic development.
Bowman has served as chief development officer for the chamber since 2010.
