Northbound Texas 121 exit makes permanent change this Sunday

The Texas 121 northbound exit from eastbound Texas 183 will follow a far-right lane configuration beginning Sunday April 27, according to Tommy Williamson, assistant public relations officer for the North Tarrant Express.

The change will be permanent.

North Tarrant Express is the ongoing project to widen North Loop 820 and Texas 121-183. The project is split into west and east segments, with the western portion between I-35W and Texas 121 and the eastern portion between Texas 121 and the city of Euless.

Since construction began in November 2009, motorists have grappled with traffic slowdowns, roadway re-routing and other headaches required for crews to bring architects’ plans to fruition.

The project is expected to reach fruition by the end of 2014, about six months ahead of schedule.
