New retailer, restaurant coming to Sundance Square

Sundance Square announced today it is adding a new retailer and a Korean restaurant to its misx.
Women’s retailer White House Black Market will open a 3,815-square-foot store at the corner of Houston and Third Streets, across the from The Loft. White House Black Market has begun to build out their space and plans to open in July.
“We have been talking with more national retailers as we look to attract additional soft good and apparel stores into Sundance Square’s mix,” said Johnny Campbell, president and CEO of Sundance Square in a news release.
Adding to Sundance Square’s diversified restaurant offerings, Hoya Korean Kitchen will open in July. Restauteur Odes Kim, will bring his Korean influences to Sundance Square at the corner of Taylor and Third Street at the base of Sundance Square garage 3.


Kim, who emigrated from South Korea to the United States in 1980, will offer well-known Korean foods such as Kimchi, Bibimbap, and Bulgogi. Kim is known for his successful Japanese restaurant, Little Katana in Highland Park.
“Hoya Korean Kitchen culinary vision emphasizes the use of fresh ingredients combined with classic and innovative Korean recipes,” said Kim. “American’s love Asian food, and they are becoming more familiar with Korean cuisine.”
Asian designer, Hatsumi Kuzuu has been retained to design the interior of the fast casual restaurant. Kuzzu has designed Tei An, Brownstone, Urban Taco, Sissy’s and the 2013 award winning FT33.


The focal point of the restaurant’s seating will be the creation of an indoor-outdoor seating area. equipped with a large retractable roof system.

Sundance Square officials also said the Silver Leaf Cigar Lounge recently opened in the Commerce Building. The cigar lounge is a 2,100 square foot upscale venue that offers cigars, humidors, pipes and other offerings. Silver Leaf’s 350 square foot patio was very popular during the recent NCAA Final Four and Main Street Fort Worth Arts Festival events, according to Sundance Square officials.
