Texas vs. TCU or Longhorns vs. Frogs

The Associated Press

Texas (4-2, 3-0 Big 12) at TCU (3-4, 1-3), 6:30 p.m. CT Saturday (Fox Sports 1)

Line: TCU by 2

Series record: Texas leads 61-21-1

WHAT'S AT STAKE

Texas travels to TCU for the first time since 1994, when both schools were still in Southwest Conference. The Longhorns, coming off an open date following an impressive victory over Oklahoma, will try to stay undefeated in Big 12 play. The Horned Frogs, 3-0 at home this season, are playing first night game on campus this season.

KEY MATCHUP

Texas RB Johnathan Gray against TCU defense. Gray is second in Big 12 with 94 yards rushing per game. The Longhorns average 203 and had two 100-yard rushers against Oklahoma. Even without DE Devonte Fields, last year's Big 12 defensive player of year who had season-ending foot injury, the Frogs lead the league allowing only 115 yards rushing per game.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Texas: WRs Mike Davis and Jaxon Shipley. Davis is fourth in Big 12 with 5.4 catches a game, just ahead of Shipley's 5.3. Davis has five TD catches, and 20 of Shipley's 32 catches have gone for first downs, including two on fourth down.

TCU: S Chris Hackett is only player in the nation with at least three interceptions and two sacks. The sophomore is also team leader with 47 tackles.

FACTS & FIGURES

Since Mack Brown became Texas coach in 1998, the Longhorns are 20-5 in games following bye weeks. One of those was last year at home against TCU. ... All four of TCU's losses are by 14 points or less, and are to teams currently ranked 19th or better in the AP poll. ... Texas is 43-10 in Big 12 road games under Brown. ... Eric Tausch has started three different positions on TCU's offensive line. Both senior starters on offense are linemen.
