WHAT'S AT STAKE

TCU hasn't lost first three conference games in season in any league since 1997, when Horned Frogs lost first seven Western Athletic Conference games. KEY MATCHUP

The passing offenses — which of two worst in the Big 12 can make an impact? Kansas QB Jake Heaps has played against TCU in Fort Worth before, three years ago when he was at BYU and went 14 of 30 for 91 yards with two interceptions in 31-3 loss. In his first four games at Kansas, he has thrown more interceptions (five) than touchdowns (four) while averaging only 184 yards per game. The Jayhawks average 195 yards per game passing, better only than TCU's 193 yards per game with dual-threat QB Trevone Boykin.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Kansas: CB Dexter McDonald has eight pass breakups and an interception already this season. That puts McDonald at 2.3 passes defended per game, second nationally.
