Fort Worth names communications and 'engagement' director

                  

Fort Worth -- Michelle Gutt, a public relations and marketing specialist in North Carolina, has been named communications and public engagement officer for the City of Fort Worth, the city manager’s office announced today.
Gutt, a native of San Antonio, now serves as the corporate communications and marketing specialist for the Charlotte, N.C., where she is charged with strategic communications, marketing and public relations for several city departments, including the city manager.  She directs outreach and communications to light rail, streetcar, the NASCARE hall of Fame, the city’s bond and other programs.
Gutt began her career as a public affairs officer in the U.S. Air Force and later worked for Dayton, Ohio Power and Light and various arts and other non-profit groups.  
She and her husband Ron have three children.
She starts in the Fort Worth post April 29.
