Journalists to speak about Kennedy's fateful trip

Fort Worth Remembers JFK, a program planned for September at Texas Christian University, will bring together a group of area journalists who covered President Kennedy’s trip to Fort Worth and Dallas, hosted by Bob Schieffer, who was also involved in the assassination coverage.


Panelists include Hugh Aynesworth, author, journalist and historian, whose book November 22, 1963: WITNESS To History, will be published in September; Mike Cochran, former Fort Worth AP correspondent and writer at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and the Fort Worth Business Press; Gary DeLaune, former KLIF radio anchor; and Bob Huffaker, former KRLD radio announcer. Bill Paxton, former Fort Worth resident, actor and film director, who attended Kennedy’s Fort Worth speech as an 8-year-old, will also be on the panel.


Sponsored The TCU Schieffer School of Journalism and the Star-Telegram have partnered to present the program at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11, in Ed Landreth Auditorium on the TCU campus.
